Description
This course provides an overview of U.S. anti-corruption law—specifically, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA)—and recent trends in enforcement by U.S. authorities and regulators. Participants will learn key compliance principles, common risk areas, and practical steps that organizations can take to better understand bribery and corruption risk in their business and how to prevent, detect, and address potentially improper conduct.

Tyler D. Coombe is a shareholder in the firm's Litigation Practice, White Collar Defense & Investigations Practice and Latin America Practice, focusing on anti-corruption, white collar crime, corporate internal investigations and compliance, and complex commercial litigation. Mr. Coombe has represented major U.S. and foreign corporations in numerous investigations and compliance matters, including matters involving Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and UK Bribery Act compliance in over 15 countries on five continents. Tyler has deep experience conducting risk assessments and compliance evaluations, performing M&A pre- and post-acquisition due diligence and integration, and partnering with clients to design, build, and implement anti-corruption compliance programs. Tyler is also an experienced litigator, having defended dozens of employment, product liability and consumer protection cases and class actions in state and federal courts across the United States.
