Global Procurement Readiness Training

As businesses grow, their supply chains often become more complex. That can mean expanding globally, either by moving to direct supplier relationships or by evaluating the broader international market to improve cost, capability, and competitiveness. But global sourcing does not depend on supplier selection alone. It also requires the right procurement and operational processes to support it effectively.
Many businesses find that the processes that worked for a domestic supply base are not always enough when lead times increase, documentation becomes more complex, and coordination across purchasing, logistics, receiving, inventory, and finance becomes more critical. Without the right planning and structure, this can lead to delays, added cost, and unnecessary disruption.

Instructors: Ryan Burns, Cimprax (https://cimprax.com/) Ryan Burns is a global supply chain leader with over 20 years of experience in the industrial manufacturing and service industries. Throughout his career he held roles of increasing responsibility leading: strategic procurement, inventory management, acquisition integration, freight & logistics, trade compliance and sales & operations planning. In his current consulting practice, he works with manufacturers to reduce the cost, risk and environmental impact of their supply chains; especially those preparing for or experiencing periods of extreme growth. Specific projects include: global sourcing for risk and cost reduction, inventory optimization through process improvement, organization design, and overall supply chain risk management. Ryan has also worked with non-profits that serve manufacturing including Manufacturer’s Edge, Colorado’s Manufacturing Extension Partnership Center, helping to lead and implement their supply chain program.
