Colorado Tariff Navigation Series: From IEEPA to Section 122-What Importers Need to Know Now

As part of our ongoing Colorado Tariff Navigation Webinar Series, this timely webinar will examine the evolving legal landscape following the U.S. Supreme Court decision affecting IEEPA-based tariffs and the Administration’s shift toward a temporary import surcharge under Section 122 of the Trade Act of 1974.

Presented by Kate Rayer, Vice President Regulatory Services at Green Worldwide, this session will break down the legal authorities shaping today’s tariff environment.  

Participants will gain clarity on how reciprocal-rate structures, exclusions, and country-specific measures may carry forward under Section 122, and how other tariff tools such as Section 232 of the Trade Expansion Act of 1962 and Section 301 of the Trade Act of 1974 can continue to apply alongside newer measures.

The webinar will focus on the “right now” decisions importers may need to make, including entry timing, in-transit treatment, liquidation risk, post-summary corrections (PSCs), protests, and origin-specific outcomes. Special attention will be given to country-specific planning considerations, including USMCA treatment for Canada and Mexico, transshipment enforcement exposure, and elevated duty risk scenarios.
